about us

  • “ 10.5 million school aged children do not currently attend school in Nigeria.”

    UNICEF

  • "Only 61 % of 6-11 year-olds regularly attend primary school and only 35.6 % of children aged 36-59 months receive early childhood education."

    UNICEF

  • "Under-five malaria in Nigeria is a leading cause of global child mortality, accounting for 95,000 annual child deaths. High out-of-pocket medical expenditure contributes to under-five malaria mortality by discouraging care-seeking and use of effective anti-malaria in the poorest households"

Who we are

United for Kids Foundation (UKF) is a volunteer-led non-profit organization registered in Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission regime as an incorporated trustees’ entity. UKF is also registered as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization in the United Kingdom and the United States of America (501c3.) UKF is established exclusively for charitable, health, and educational activities targeted principally at children and families in need. Our goal is to create a vehicle that enables fortunate Nigerians and friends of Nigeria to apply their resources towards alleviating the unfortunate conditions of the less fortunate, sick, and orphaned children by providing them with necessary tools to overcome poverty, sickness, and illiteracy.

HISTORY OF UKF

United for Kids Foundation was founded in April of 2002 when a group of friends and colleagues visited an Orphanage in Lagos to provide the children with supplies that included books, food, and clothing. After this visit UKF was founded as a vehicle to link the fortunate people of Nigeria to those in need of our help. Nearly 22 years later, United for Kids Foundation is providing over 600 hundred children weekly with literacy lessons through our in school and mobile library programs. Our mission at UKF is to “Heal Nigeria and indeed the World: one child, one heart, and one smile at a time.” We thank you for supporting us and our mission for the past 21 years and look forward to having your support for the years to come.

vision

According to UNICEF, 10.5 million school aged children do not currently attend school in Nigeria. As a result of this staggering statistic UKF has created multiple programs designed to provide low income youth with a quality education. The Mission of United for Kids Foundation is to “Heal Nigeria and indeed the World: one child, one heart, and one smile at a time.” Our goal at UKF is to ensure that every child has access to a quality education. Since 2002, we have implemented programs targeted at children from low-income families with donations solicited from friends, members of our network, and fundraising events. Our goal is to provide a vehicle for those who are less fortunate to have a sustainable future through education, business support, and social welfare programs. As we celebrate 21 years of service, we hope to continue to provide services to the communities in Nigeria who need our support the most.
